It Begins in the Lab

The R&D complex includes laboratories dedicated to resin synthesis, coatings development, chemical analysis and coating performance testing. JONES-BLAIR is ISO 9001:2008 certified and committed to the quality process.  Our quality system is built to produce continued improvement and effectiveness and to meet or exceed the customer's expectations.

By integrating all the resources, Jones-Blair can design the very best coating, including a custom resin, in order to satisfy our customers requirements.

All JONES-BLAIR labs operate under the guidance of the company ISO 9001:2008 quality system; however, we go the extra mile by maintaining a separate lab dedicated to quality assurance tests performed on every batch before it is released for shipment.

We stand behind the Quality of our Products

JONES-BLAIR has an internal quality program that consists of a completely documented quality system to control all aspects of production and ensure consistent fulfillment of customer requirements.  Our quality control process includes raw materials and lot control throughout our production.  This includes final batch testing and adjustments to specifications using established test procedures and work instructions.

We rigorously monitor all processes and document the results for evaluation.  We chart manufacturing variables and regularly review our status and progress in achieving goals established each year.  These variables include off-mill color, adjustments per batch, tank turn hours, and "right the first time".  All objectives are reviewed annually and we do not hesitate to tweak or change them in order to challenge our processes for continual improvement.

We use statistical process control charts to demonstrate our progress and the data is reviewed regularly at our monthly Liquid Process Meetings attended by Technical, Management, and QC Personnel.
